Semiya kesari

Ingredients:

1 ¼ cups  semiya
3 cups of water
3/4 cup sugar
2 elaichi
Pinch of color
3 tbsp ghee
1 tbsp cashwes, alomonds
2-3 dates chopped.

How i make it:

  1. Add 3 tbsp of ghee in a non stick pan and heat. Then add cashews, alomonds and dates and fry until golden brown (don’t burn).
  2. Add semiya into the ghee mixture and fry until raw smell goes away and keep stirring for 2-3 mins untill golden color found here and there.
  3. Add sugar to the sautéd semiya and continue stirring for 2 mins
  4. Now add the water to the semiya sugar mix, add pinch if orange or yellow coloring.
  5. Cover the pan and cook for 5 mins until the semiya is smooth stirring in between.

Low the flame and add crushed elaichi to the hot and steaming semiya.

Serve it into a bowl and Enjoy!
